After over a decade climbing the corporate ladder in Kuwait, I decided I was ready for a change. I had always been passionate about health and fitness, so I took a leap and opened my own gym, ShapeU, in 2013.
As a first-time business owner, it was a steep learning curve. I made mistakes and encountered challenges from hiring to marketing to keeping members engaged. But I also learned so much about leadership, strategy, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Over the next few years, ShapeU grew from one location into a thriving chain with gyms across Kuwait. Managing multiple sites taught me about smart expansion, even in very different markets.
Ultimately, my shifted, this shift became empowering other entrepreneurs to grow successful companies. So in 2018, I sold my gym business and launched ShapeU Training and Consulting Ltd. The first few years ShapeU delivered one-to-one sessions based on Personal Development, Lifestyle Change and Stress management. I later expanded ShapeU into a broader training and consulting company – ShapeU Training & Consulting Ltd, Now we work closely with ambitious SME owners to help them strengthen their leadership skills and business strategies. My experience building ShapeU from scratch allows me to relate to their challenges and share what it truly takes to scale up.
